February

Time flies when you're having fun, suddenly it's February, where did that come from?
A busy month has passed as we embark on the great "get the house sorted" adventure. Flat-packed furniture has taken over our living room and we now have enough off-cuts of carpet to kit the garden out too! It always comes with much glee when another room bites the woodchip wallpaper dust and I think we're finally getting the hang of how to abolish this evil virus that inhabitted every corner of the building Long may the productivity continue and perhaps we'll finally get rid of those last few unpacked boxes from when we moved in all those years ago!
Work too has been busy as another term takes hold and it becomes apparent just how much work I have to do. With some relief the baton of Assessment Manager is being passed on to someone with more time, oh how I shall miss SIMS (can you sense the sarcasm?). In its place comes the mammoth task of upgrading the Learning Platform to Moodle 2. I have an Easter deadline and it appears to be approaching far quicker than I'd hoped! This is intermingled with a number of little projects including one yesterday that saw me spend my afternoon staring at a page of javascript, joy. All good fun though and some great achievements have been made over the past few weeks
Aside from the above the rest of my life seems to be taken up by next month's performances. Rehearsals are now getting serious as we all try to get our lines down. The preparations that come with putting on a play are also very time intensive. Along with the website (which should be up and finished this weekend) there is so much to organise to put on a play of this scale. It's getting there though and hopefully the money we raise will make it all worthwhile. I must admit though that I'm looking forward to the relief of it all being over! Oh if you have an prizes you can donate to the raffle please do get in touch, all proceeds are going to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust so we want to raise as much money as possible.
Anyways, let February begin, another great adventure...
