And the growth continues, now home for four weeks and with a corrected age of one week our little bit of mischief is growing at an alarming rate heading very close to 7lb's this week. Now that he's settled into home life we've reached the time when he's up to visitors and he's certainly enjoyed meeting many of our friends and family. There seems to be a running theme to first impressions though:

"Wow, he's so small, I'm afraid to break him"

This amuses as to us he seems huge! At nearly double his original weight (he dropped a lot from his birth weight which was mostly fluid from the trauma of coming so early) to us he's no longer the "scrawny little runt" (as one of the sisters so delicately put it) he was 9 weeks ago. It seems though that the photos back then really do not show just how tiny he was and how much progress he's made so in an attempt at some perspective the photos below show a comparision to "normal baby" (is there such a thing?!) clothes and nappies.

The vests show (from left to right) tiny baby, newborn and 0-3 month sizes. The diddy bit is very nearly out of his tiny baby clothes now and we're looking forward to getting him into the many newborn items we've had sat waiting for him.

The nappies show micro, newborn and the next size up. It was with great celebration that we moved him into newborn nappies the other week as it meant we'd finally got feeding under control and weight gain consistant (as demonstrated by the frequent "all up his back and to his toes" nappies!). It's hard to believe that the micro nappies swamped him when he was first in them (think Simon Cowell!).

So you see, not such a diddy bit any more but a great big bundle of fun (we've started smiling, a whole new novelty!)
