Christmas Shopping, Me?!?

Well that must be a first, not only have I been shopping, but Christmas shopping, and three days in a row! I\'m not a great shopper, in fact, on the whole, I hate the whole concept of shopping, be it food, clothes, presents it basically sucks. But, shop we did, and pretty sucessfully I have to say with nearly everything sorted and still 3 weeks to go! Fantastic.

The community concert went well last week, lots of primary diddys singing their songs. The band still sounded a little rough, we usually have the concert closer to our proper concert so are in need of a little more rehearsal. We do appear to have an interesting percussion section this year. Usually we have just the one drummer, one of our English teachers who manages to pelt out a fair old beat (good considering he doesn\'t read any music). This year we have a couple of year sevens who have joined the collective. It\'s proving interesting having three drummers on the go, particularly as it seems they all have a slightly different counting system. It wouldn\'t be a problem but we\'ve got a couple of really tricky pieces this time that require a good beat to keep them going, bohemian rapsody earlier was an interesting experience!

The Shout too is moving along, we\'ve potentially finished it this evening although I\'m awaiting a phone call tomorrow morning to say for sure. Doing well though although I\'m a bit bothered that I\'ve had to ditch a few of the articles. They will have to go in the next edition, I\'m just hoping staff understand. If someone had told me the other year that saying yes to the question \"can you use publisher\" could lead me into what is now essentially an editorial position I would have said \"publisher? uhm no, what\'s that then?\". They should teach kids the art of saying no in schools... except, from what I\'ve seen of the new generation, it\'s no longer an issue... kids!

Ooh, just remembered, time for a rant. I got id\'d to buy a dvd yesterday. It was an 18 (present for rose). I am 23. I was not impressed. 23!!!! Good job we now have photo licenses. 23!!!! Grrrrrr
