Sentimental bytes

I was bought a tamagotchi for my birthday. It was activated, given a name (\"Amy\" - thank you :-/) played with, fed and the lights turned out when it went to sleep. All nice enough although the novelty had worn off a little - I was 23 not 13. Anyways, my tamagotchi (\"Amy\") is now a week old. It has \'evolved\' into a weird mushroom looking alien, spends it\'s life complaining that I don\'t look after it properly, insists it\'s bed time is at 11pm, and proceeds to bug me right up until this time every evening. So why can\'t I let it die? I do not understand this aspect of my personality. I know what it is, a mix of plastic and computer chips. I have a vague idea how it works. It\'s cold and hard and it\'s only interaction is via annoying beeping sounds and waving it\'s arms. It\'s not even cuddly. Yet I can\'t kill it. Both mum and daniel have offered to drown it for me, I\'m sure father could come up with an even better termination but something in me won\'t let them. Why?

Work went ok yesterday but I\'ve got to go back in this morning, hence the early entry... up before 10! Post 16 timetables are nearly all inputted, just the year 13\'s that are doing AS this year need to be sorted. A few odd jobs to do this morning which I\'m hoping won\'t take too long and then off to my nan\'s for lunch. Dan has lent me a book on vb/a so I think that, along with a look at the next tma, will be my mission this afternoon. It\'s nice having the house to myself, am getting a lot of peace, miss the little tyke though Sad
