At the end of a long week

Sometimes you need something little just to make you smile. At the end of a truely yucky week this was my little something (names etc changed to protect the (not so) innocent)
Dear *** Support
On the 29th of April I emailed you details of a problem I was having up-dating my *** software. Two days later ,having received no reply,I telephoned and was told I would have some missing files emailed to me. I did not receive them. A week later (8th May) I emailed further details and asked for some sort of reply to at least let me know you acknowledged I had a problem. I have received no reply. You will no doubt be in touch with me in the near future to renew my support contract. You will probably not receive a reply

It\'s probably not that funny but it\'s cheered me up a little. We seem to be in a world these days where people don\'t like to communicate, you find yourself brushing people off with the minimum amount of speech, why use three words when one will do. Or in the case of the above, no response in the hope the problem will just go away. It\'s the communication age and yet we\'ve forgotten how to talk.
We learnt in drama the art of good conversation. I can\'t remember the technical terms (if I ever really knew them in the first place!) but the gist was to never close a conversation, always give an answer that leaves the recipient somewhere to go. It makes life much more interesting, you learn so much more and come across as much more friendly. Try it and enjoy.
Anyway, I digress and it\'s way past the time I should be spitting z\'s.
