I've not been too good at keeping this up to date just lately have I? I do apologise, although to be quite frank I doubt there has been much happening that would interest you.

Last week was a super busy week. The main task was to make a good dent on the Contact Mail admin system which I'm pleased to announce I have. The whole thing is written in php with an sql backend and is going to be used to control the data received from the survey we held last month as well as being updated as new parents join the service. It's been quite interesting, especially sorting out the security bits which I'm hoping I've got right We've also entered the realm of php classes now, I've never found a use for them before but I now have a lovely array of contact objects - even if the actually code to manipulate them isn't working yet

We also had a couple of trips away from the homebase last week. A lovely trip over to Spalding on Tuesday saw mucho rain, a pretty rainbow, mucho sun and mucho spending. In a "way too organised" way for us we now have some of this years Christmas present sorted... it can't last.

Thursday saw mother and I head for Lincoln. Hmmm. The journey out wasn't too bad, we were at the first stop so managed to get a seat on the single carriage train... people were standing by the time we got there though. Lincoln itself was lovely, lots of really good shops, so many more than we have here, and the place itself was really nice and clean. Great. Twas the journey home that produced the sticking point. Last train that went all the way home (16:02), 1 single carriage, passengers already on from previous destination, over 100 hundred people waiting to get on. Needless to say after the conductor herded everyone on until the train was quite literally bulging the parental unit and I decided enough was enough and refused to get on. One hour later, a train to sleaford (standing most of the way), some happily visited granparents, a grumpy sister and a car journey back we did eventually arrive at our destination home. I don't think we shall venture that one again

The rest of the week was spent tidying my room, a trip to the opticians (who announced he was stumped...) and various computer bits and bobs. Oh and playing with my new dogz... little things

Now, silly me has just updated messenger and it is now refusing to log in, when will I ever learn. Guess that's the rest of my morning taken care of... (oh, binks@cheerful.com, if you want to chat through messenger btw, if I ever get it working again that is...)
