And Breath

what a busy few weeks they've been. Concerts, Shouts, Newsletters, exam results, coding, presents, Christmas... Finally on holiday and things are beginning to settle down a bit. Apologies for the quietness.

So, first, exam results, hmm, as predicted, not great. However, whilst drying my hair yesterday and pondering the meaning of life (well there's not much else you can do while you dry your hair is there?) I had a thought which made me feel not so bad. If I can get through the year I've had, getting off the start I did (remember that whole flu thing), doing the amount of work I've done and putting up with the complete lack of any time, then actually, 8 marks of a pass one isn't so bad, not really. It's not great, but if I'd put in the amount of work I should have then I would have been more upset I think, because that would have meant I couldn't do it, when actually, I think I probably can... Now if I could only master sudoku the confidence in my brain power might just be restored....

Concert went well, it wasn't the same as the old days, it didn't feel much like Christmas, and it certainly didn't seem like teamwork (or even much fun), but I survived, I played okayish and it's now all over until the summer. A decision made though, music no longer comes first.

The last week of term was spent hacking up a fault logging system for work, the brief: something even monkeys can operate, the result, lousy code but it looks ok on the surface... my mission this holiday is to tidy it up a bit as it might be able to go somewhere.

And then we reach Christmas, which, on the whole, wasn't that bad. This years gadgets and gizmo's include a packet of tea bags (yup, really Smiling), a Furby (which is actually kinda cool), a dvd re-writer (which is going back to the shop because it doesn't work... well, when have I ever had anything from ..world that actually works first time?), some cool dvd's and cd's and lots of other great stuff. Lucky girl, spoilt Smiling

So now the new year looms... it snowed!!!! Laughing out loud Bit of a pain because I rather wanted to go out today, but hey, snow, cool, literally. The rest of this week sees two formatted laptops, some maths, cleaning some code up and generally chilling. Fun stuff Smiling
