One for all Four

I've probably written about this before but with all the hype that's been going on this week I feel infuriated enough to moan about it again. What is the deal with phones that do everything? I don't get it and for some reason when people try to convince me it's the way to go I just end up getting crosser.

Water

Contrary to my belief it appears that it isn't common knowledge that cars require water to work. You don't just put it in to give the wipers something to chew over. Seriously, engine, big fire burning thingy, lots of heat, water, cold stuff, take away heat, good thing. No water, big boo boo, engine kaput, perhaps lots of smoke, walking in wind and rain for long time, mucho money to fix etc etc...

To add insult to injury, twas a mechanic driving it at the time...

Where's the snow?

So the Christmas holidays have come, infact nearly over, and yet again I find myself struck down with an infection and feeling miserable, what a fantastic year.

This years results were also met with much missery although now seeing a break down of how everybody did it seems I didn't do too badly at all. The same as last year though, must buckle down next year and really get my grades up.

Other than being ill and missing out on turkey haven't really been up to much again and therefore won't bore you any longer.

Mush

When people ask you what M.E. is they usually follow it with "are you tired all the time" and I usually reply with "yes" and that's it, end of conversation, they go away thinking I'm pathetic and I go away not caring because it's impossible to explain anyway and if I did they wouldn't understand. So yes, M.E. is being tired all the time. M.E. is waking up in the morning tireder than when you went to bed at night (because at least at night you've had all day to wake yourself up). M.E.

Last Legs

In the not too distant past I had a compaq laptop. It was secondhand when I got it and carting it backwards and forwards to work certainly put it through its paces. Finally it was consigned to retirement and a new laptop was bought, a laptop that didn't have a cracked case, dodgy usb ports and a hard drive that actually allowed an installation of xp with room left over. The compaq has been sat in the office waiting for a task. I tried to put linux on it but to no result (dodgy graphics card too and I suspect the harddrive is failing).

Winter

It's been a while since I've written, again, mostly because I just haven't got around to it. Life has been it's usual mix of busy and not so busy. Plenty of projects on the go and yet still signing on for more stuff, when will I ever learn!

Drupal Customisation - Revision Log Message

I'm currently working on a drupal installation to go up for our school website. Whilst most of Drupals quirks have been sorted and I've actually been quite impressed at what it can do there has been one thing that has been bugging me all morning. When I update a post creating a new revision is annoyingly plants a Log message on the end of my content telling me what has happened and when. All very well for other sites perhaps but no good for us. I've eventually tracked down the offending code and a quick comment out seems to have solved the problem.
