Contrast

Perhaps one of the better things of living where we do is the fact that we have contrast. On the one hand we're next to a big(ish) city with a variety of shops (not the greatest selection, but livable) and all the benefits that come from having stuff close by and on the other hand we have rather beautiful scenery, peace and quiet and a general country type feel. It's nice and suits us for now.

During the warm weekend last week we headed out for another first of the year, a bike ride. We didn't go far, just stretched the legs and had a look around. As part of the ride we generally go on we have to cross a hughmungous foot bridge over a roundabout which connects the werrington bypass to the rest of the northish road system. The following photos were taken, one from either side of the bridge and I think illustrate the contrast. They're not great pics, they were taken in haste as my other half had disappeard rather quickly down the other side of the bridge, maybe one day I'll head back and do them properly.
