Tablet

Another busy month made even more so by a sudden influx in website requests - they're like buses! All exciting stuff and a much needed boost to the portfolio. They have also been an added incentive to give in to one of my long standing temptations, the purchasing of a graphics tablet.

Since my very first computer I have always been drawn to the various paint applications and the wonder of creating doodles without having to worry about the resources that are being consumed (disk space excluded - I still have stacks of floppies with meaningless "art" on them!). However I have always felt quite limited by what a mouse lets you achieve. Granted, with a bit of patience and sometimes luck the results can be passable but it's never quite the same as pen to paper. Drawing and then scanning has never really appealed to me, although it's been handy at times.

Now with more and more graphics intensive work coming up it seemed like an ideal time to take the plunge and invest. This decision was made even easier by the price of a fairly decent tablet dropping to an all time low. It's basic but good quality and does exactly what it says on the tin, perfect for me Smiling So now a step forth into a world of arty bliss and a realisation that I really am quite out of practice when it comes to drawing!

The playing has begun with some card making, busy month with Birthdays and Mother's Day...
