In Spirit

Messing about with Fireworks this morning saw the four cousins come together in the first time since Christmas. Congratulations to Vicki and Alan on their wedding which, very sadly, we couldn't attend but were certainly thinking of them.

Whether the Weather Be

The weather isn't great this week, sports day, predictably, was cancelled yesterday and the forecast doesn't look much better for the next few days. However I had a rather amusing conversation with a colleague yesterday and thought I would post it here for the memory:

It's been too loooong

This has got to have been the longest term in the history of terms, even longer than the age that was the winter term, and it's not over yet! It's also been one of the busiest terms I've had in a while what with work work, ou work and extra work I'm finding it difficult to have much time to myself. When I do get five minutes I find myself too exhausted to enjoy it which is a little frustrating.

Fuzzy Buzzy Busy Bees

No idea where May went, it just did it seems, but hey, I'm still here, just! Life has been rather too busy just lately to have time to waffle on here, which I'm sure you're greatful for as my posts are usually rather dull anyway! And why break a habit of a lifetime, here goes another...

Numb

So yay, I survived the great teeth excavation of last week, the evil ones are no more and I feel no less wise which I presume is a good thing.

The aneasthetic was something of a non-event really after all of the anxiety that led up to it. They talk to you, you go to sleep, dream a little, get woken back up again, easy. I'm not even in any great pain teeth wise, my gums are a little sore, my jaw aches a bit, but it's livable.

Benton

I don't very often write about Benton, there's not usually very much to write about, he's a bunny, his main goals in life are to munch on food, sip some water and snooze. As he goes through his greyer years he does the latter much more. He has however found his bounce these past few weeks and at times its hard to believe he's approaching 11 years old this July.

Contrast

Perhaps one of the better things of living where we do is the fact that we have contrast. On the one hand we're next to a big(ish) city with a variety of shops (not the greatest selection, but livable) and all the benefits that come from having stuff close by and on the other hand we have rather beautiful scenery, peace and quiet and a general country type feel. It's nice and suits us for now.

Spring Sprung... again

Sandwiched between the weekend where we had heavy snow and the weekend where with had hail and sleet we had a weekend (and some of the week) of lovely warm weather. So warm we managed to get out in the garden and even had our first bbq of the year. It reminded me of what summer should be like and how I'm really ready for it now, I would even like to be able to wear shorts this year!
