Windows Time

Sometimes it would be nice to live in Windows time. You know, the stuff that says you only have 10 minutes left but really it's 30. That would be nice Smiling I appear to have spent much of this half-term rushing around, actually having triple the amount of time would have been fantastic! Not so fantastic when you're waiting for something to finish and it's taking more time than it should. I've spent a lot of time doing that recently too.

Back to Flash

It seems wrong to be counting down to the holidays when the term has only really just begun, but yay, 1 week 4 days Smiling I am ready for a holiday I think, a short break from having to do stuff (although if this dvd doesn't get finished soon...). I am swamped right now it seems. Not overly a bad thing, some of it is paid work but I could however do without it just for a bit.

Memories

Memories are a funny old thing, they sneak up on you and then jump out when you're least expecting them. A smell from your childhood, a tune from a good holiday, an old photo. With the 8th rapidly approaching work has become a rather painful de-ja-vu at the moment, memories I'd hoped to forget are back and real once more. The person who would understand, no longer here. It's nice to remember the good times, the bad ones not so much Sad

Hmm Okay

So, yup, all it needed was a good nights sleep... Funnily enough you can't get the authenticated user unless you're in a folder which is using authentication... (in my defence though, it was a totally different variable too).

Now the ajax stuff is being miffy again, roll on the weekend.

Digital Paint

Ok so I'm still doing the wedding dvd, it is taking mucho time, is very frustrating and I kinda wished I'd never started. But I have, so I shall continue. I'm currently re-encoding all of the little video clips I've previously used in a hope I can get them to be a little less jerky. I will liken it to watching paint dry, digital paint. It's exceedingly dull but a necessary evil to getting everything looking good - well there's no point giving people a dvd that's painful to watch is there?

I shall continue...

Like Riding a Bike

I was quite impressed with myself on Sunday. After mucho family politics and tantrums we all bundled off to the ice-rink to celebrate Andrew's birthday. Much fun, and I could still skate! I did have that niggling doubt in my mind that after, wow, more than 10 years I would have forgotten how and it would become a very painful experience. I'm a little achey but managed to stay on my feet, even when dragging a five year old around (he's getting super heavy!).

Yummy

I had to write (I do not know why) to tell you how lovely the house smells right now Smiling For the first time last night we set up the breadmaker on the timer so that it would bake a loaf ready for us this morning.
